About Fernie TV

FernieTV.com was created to deliver community programming that is not being shown over traditional broadcast and cable television media. Contributions from local video producers are welcomed.

The goals of Fernie TV are

  • to provide local video programming of general interest to residents of Fernie and the Elk Valley, and visitors;
  • to keep the community informed about local issues and events;
  • to improve access to Fernie's municipal government by making public meetings available over the internet, on demand, from any location

Fernie TV uses Adobe Flash media. The Adobe Flash Player is the world's most pervasive software platform, supported on 99.0% of Internet-enabled PCs.

Fernie TV provides links to youtube videos. A private Flash Media Server supports streaming video longer than 10 minutes duration. FernieTV.com content is produced with Adobe's CS4 software suite.

FernieTV.com was conceived of—and designed by—Fernie resident Pierre Dupont.
